The hidden meaning in Cinema

Joining the Hollywood Elite

If you decide to take the advice of this blog and create one of films listed within, you’ll soon join the ranks of the Hollywood Elite. You should therefore get an idea of the world you are about to enter.

This is an organisation so powerful that it secretly puts hidden messages in it’s films, in an effort to indoctrinate you the viewer. I have therefore picked out the following films to show you their true, sinister meanings:

The Wizard of Oz:

There are few films that have been so widely read into as The Wizard of Oz. I’ve heard wild interpretations ranging from religion, atheism, the feminist movement, and individualism. All are based on very little and hardly stack up against the cold hard facts. Hollywood in this instance has been very subtle. The hidden meaning is of course schizophrenia. Dorothy’s journey represents a shadowy look into her dark mind, with Toto the dog symbolizing her struggle with addiction, the lion representing her greatest fear, and the Wicked Witch representing her eventual redemption. And I know all of this without ever even watching it. Such is my genius. Touche, Hollywood. Touche.

Harry Potter:

The magic is a euphemism for drugs, and the wands are penises. Think about it. No? Think about it some more… There we go. Drugs and penises my friend. Now burn those DVDs.

Ice Age:

This one is easy. The different weird animals are a metaphor for different countries in the world. It’s basically telling us we should all get along, but if the bad animals refuse to play nicely, we, the West, must destroy them without mercy. Don’t let your children watch this propaganda. It will make them ruthless pragmatists, like George Bush or Mel Gibson.

Star Wars:

The evil empire with British accents? The noble rebels with American accents? Come on. This is clearly about the war in Iraq. Ewoks are the gentle Iraqi people, and Hans Solo is Tony Blair. Need I say more.

Alien:

To any avid film critic, on the surface this film appears to be symbolic of the Vietnam Conflict; with arrogant marines shouting “Get some” and a horrific campaign with dubious aims. But if you look a little bit deeper, this film actually has nothing to do with Vietnam at all. Infact, Vietnam is not even mentioned. Honestly, go back and re-watch it now. Not mentioned once. Aliens however are constantly cited. We can therefore take that this film has cleverly placed a hidden meaning about aliens, layered under the purposely misleading theme of Vietnam. Why has Hollywood done this I hear you ask. All I’ll say is, prepare for the invasion.
